Real Madrid Vs Man City 2023 Champions League

UEFA Champions League Quarter-Final Round-Up

Manchester City Dominate Real Madrid in Emphatic Victory

Citizens Secure Place in Final with 5-1 Aggregate Win

Manchester City sealed their place in the UEFA Champions League final in stunning fashion, thrashing current holders Real Madrid 4-0 in the second leg of their semi-final clash. After a tight first leg that ended in a 1-1 draw, City turned on the style at the Etihad Stadium to secure a comfortable 5-1 aggregate victory.

The Citizens controlled the game from the outset, with Kevin De Bruyne's free-kick flicked on by Manuel Akanji giving them the lead in the 76th minute. The goal broke Madrid's resistance, and Bernardo Silva doubled City's advantage with a fine strike just four minutes later. Akanji added a third in the 76th minute, and Julián Álvarez completed the rout with a goal in stoppage time.

The victory was a testament to the brilliance of Pep Guardiola's side, who outplayed Madrid in every aspect of the game. City dominated possession (60%), had more shots on target, and created more chances. Real Madrid, who had won the Champions League 14 times, were simply outclassed by a superior side.

Manchester City will now face either Liverpool or AC Milan in the final, which will be played in Istanbul on June 10th. The Citizens will be looking to win their first Champions League title since 2019, while Real Madrid will be hoping to bounce back from this disappointment and reclaim their European crown.
