Civil Service Pensions Set to Increase by 6.7% from April 2024
Government Confirms Pension Increase for Civil Servants
Effective April 2024, Civil Service pensions that have been in payment for a minimum of 12 months will receive an increase of 6.7%. This adjustment is based on the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) and follows the Pension Increase (Review) Order 2023.
Calculations and Applications
The 6.7% increase will be applied to all Civil Service pensions in payment, including those received by retirees and survivors. The increase will be calculated based on the rate of inflation as measured by the CPI. This is the same methodology used for uprating public service pensions.
