After Tumultuous First Year, Altmyer Ready to Deliver

After a tumultuous first year as Muskegon’s city manager, Frank Altmyer says he’s ready for the challenges of the job.

Altmyer began as the city manager on Dec. 6, 2019. He immediately faced a series of challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, budget issues, and a contentious relationship with city council.

Altmyer said he’s learned a lot in the past year and has learned how to work with the city council.
